Kilteel Inn is an ivy clad two storey building more than 100 years old. It was built over an existing ancient Road House or Inn that once accommodated horse draw

n coaches that travelled along, what was then, the main road south from Dublin. It is the highest pub in Kildare (700ft above sea level) and has panoramic views over Irelands Central plain, reputed to be the longest land view in Ireland. Elevated walks are in abundance overlooking on one side the flatness of the plains and, on the other, the mountains and lakes of the Garden of Ireland, County Wicklow.

The décor is “olde world”, boasting antique red brick walls, pitch pine woodwork and back bar, tiled floors and two Victorian open fire places. A typical old Irish Pub cont

aining dozens of antique jugs and other bric-a-brac. You feel the warm welcome the minute you step into the place.

The pub has modern toilets, a junction room to accommodate 150 for parties and fundraisers etc. It has a Beer Garden and Smoking Area. It also has an off-licence and small convenience store.

Light refreshments such as soup, sandwiches, cocktail sausages, chicken nuggets, etc. can be provided with tea and coffee.

It has two Pool tables, a juke box and a dart board to keep you amused.

Irish music sessions take place on occasions and may happen at any time!

A plentiful supply of Hotel, B&B and farmhouse accommodation is available in the immediate vicinity and surrounding area.

Situated in the Parish of Eadestown, the only Parish in Ireland with two Race Courses and only one pub.
